In September, 2013, Amit Peled received Pablo Casals’s 1733 Goffriller cello. Pablo Casals acquired it in 1913; 2013 marked the cello’s 100 year in Casals’s service. The cello is 280 years old! Read more about it in the November 4, 2014 Wall Street Journal.
In September 2013, the Critics' Circle announced Yevgeny Sudbin as its third annual Critics' Circle Music Award recipient for Exceptional Young Talent in the Instrumentalist category.
The Weiss Kaplan Newman Trio will perform the New York Premier of Lera Auerbach's: "Triptych - The Mirror with Three Faces" at their October 1st concert at Rockefeller.
Though he has performed at Carnegie Hall and in Central Park, Ashu’s appearance at The Rockefeller University will mark his New York City full recital debut.
